Nigeria's favourite card game, one-on-one. Match the call card by shape or number, hit your opponent with Pick Two and General Market, and be the first to empty your hand.
54 cards in five shapes — Circles, Triangles, Crosses, Squares and Stars — plus five Whot cards numbered 20.
Your turn
Six numbers do something extra when played — whatever their shape.
You play again. Normal rules apply — and if you go to market instead, your turn ends.
Your opponent is suspended: you play again, just like Hold On.
Your opponent draws one card from the market, and you play again.
Your opponent must pick two cards — unless they answer with a 2.
Your opponent must pick three cards — unless they answer with a 5.
Wild: play it on any card (but not on a pending pick) and request a shape for your opponent.
Bayo’s turn
How a pending pick can be answered depends on the house rules; every preset in the lobby stacks.
You: 11
Opponent: 20
Every turn has its own timer — 15, 20 or 30 seconds, chosen in the lobby.
Before the deal, the server publishes a fingerprint (a SHA-256 commitment) of its secret seed, and each player's browser adds a random seed of its own. The deck is shuffled from all of them. Once the match is settled the server reveals its seed, and the match page can re-create the shuffle and the deal right in your browser — so anyone can check that the cards weren't stacked.
Whot! is played many ways. The lobby offers three presets; the table shows every option side by side.
Six cards each, Pick Two and Pick Three can be stacked.
Four cards each for fast rounds.
Announce your last card or pay, and an empty market ends the game: lowest count wins.

The game engine knows two more ways to answer a pick, used only by custom private games: Deflect (a card of the same number passes the count back unchanged) and None (picks must always be taken). A match's Info tab always lists the rules in play.
